GILBERTVILLE - Mary C. Weber, 69, of Gilbertville, died at home Thursday, March 13, 2014.
She was born March 22, 1944, in Waterloo, daughter of Leander J. Frost and Magdalen H. Schares Frost. On April 4, 1964, she married Thomas Joseph Weber in Gilbertville. He preceded her in death in 2001.
She graduated from Don Bosco High School in 1962. Mary had worked as a cook at Covenant Hospital, the 10th Inning, and at the time of her death was employed by Casey’s General Store in Gilbertville. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Catholic Order of Foresters.
Survived by a daughter, Renee A. Weber of Gilbertville; a son, Thomas (Kris) of Cedar Falls; three grandchildren, Sarah Weber of Kansas City, Mo., Matt Weber of Cedar Falls and Kelsey Weber of Gilbertville; her mother, Magdalen Frost of Gilbertville; four brothers, Ron (Mary) Frost and Tony (LaDonna) Frost, both of Gilbertville, Lee (Laura) Frost of Jesup and Randy (Diana) Frost of Unionville, Mo.; a sister, Helene (Luis) Reyes of Littleton; two brothers-in-law, Gene (Virginia) Cunningham of Oelwein and Greg (Dee) Weber of Jesup; two sisters-in-law, Julie Frost of Gilbertville and Tammy (Jon) Bronemann of Cedar Falls; and a special friend, Tom Markussen of Lansing.
Preceded in death by her father; three brothers, Irvin, Joseph and Merrill Frost; and a sister, Marlene Cunningham.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with burial in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, both in Gilbertville. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at White Funeral Home, Jesup, where there will be a 4 p.m. vigil service and a 7 p.m. rosary by Catholic Order of Foresters. Visitation will continue for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.
