WATERLOO - Richard C. “Buddy” Beenken, 67, of Waterloo, died at home Monday, March 17, 2014.

He was born April 24, 1946, in Waterloo, son of Richard Henry and Betty Jane Weekley Beenken. He married Charlotte M. Antell on July 18, 1965, in North Branch, Minn.

Richard graduated from High School in Lindstrom, Minn. He owned and operated B and L Auto Salvage for many years. He was a member of the Salvation Army Church.

Survived by his wife; three daughters, Connie (Scott) Petersen, Christine Beenken and Tammy (Charlie) Maricle, all of Waterloo; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Donald (Patricia) of Illinois and G. Dean (Sharon) of North Branch, Minn.

Preceded in death by his parents.

Services: noon Thursday at the Salvation Army Citadel, 89 Franklin St., with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until services Thursday at the Citadel. Kearns Funeral Service Kimball Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
