WATERLOO - Vera K. Hollins, 52, formerly of Waterloo, died July 3 of pneumonia.

She was born Dec. 30, 1954, in Waterloo, daughter of Jay C. and Marcelin Hollins. She graduated from Waterloo East High School and was a founding member of People First Self Advocacy's Contra Costa Chapter.

Survivors include: three brothers, Jay, Barry and Terry (Marie) Hollins, all of Minneapolis; and two sisters, Virginia Hollins-Davidson (Michael Butler) of Berkeley, Calif., and Sherrill Hollins of Hayward, Calif.

Preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Jan Hollins.

Celebration of Life services: 1 p.m. Saturday at Creative Growth Art Center, 355 24th St., Oakland, Calif. 94612. Fuller Funerals Inc., Richmond, Calif., was in charge of arrangements.
