WATERLOO - Donna Mae Weikert, 80, of Marshalltown, formerly of Waterloo, died Thursday, July 3, 2008, at the Iowa Veterans Home, Marshalltown, of natural causes.

She was born Jan. 28, 1928, in Waterloo, daughter of Bill and Ethel Reece Evans. She married Leo Weikert on Nov. 29, 1949, at the Little Brown Church, Spring Valley, Minn. He died Nov. 29, 1963.

Mrs. Weikert was employed with INA in West Des Moines for 17 years. She then worked for Home Health Aids & Mobile Meals caring for people in their homes.

Survived by a son, Brad (Lilly) of Des Moines; a daughter, Kay (Jim) Doser of Clemons; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services: 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, Waterloo, with inurnment in Greenwood Cemetery, Cedar Falls. Public visitation for an hour before services Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown.
