Services for J. Russell Meeker, 66, of 825 Denver St., will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Parrott and Wood Chapel, with burial in the Westview Cemetery, La Porte City. Mr. Meeker died at his home at 3 a.m. Monday of a heart attack.

He was born Sept. 22, 1909, in Moreville, the son of Courtney and Lydia Wetzstein Meeker. He was employed for 40 years by the Johnson Farms Dairy, and for eight years by the Waterloo School District at Kittrell School, retiring in July 1974. He married Elizabeth Lincoln Aug. 5,1933, in Waterloo.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Thomas, of Shell Rock, a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Sewick, of Colorado Springs, Colo; two brothers, Merlin, of Santa Barbara, Calif, and Donald of Witchita, Kan.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Tuesday
