HUE, THIES, HEIDEMANN, ASTON, TRIMBLE, BROWN

Herman C. Hue, 81, of 502 Courtlandt Street, died at 6 a.m. Friday at his home of complications incident to advanced age.

He was born Aug. 19, 1868, in Cook County, Ill., the son of Herman and Caroline Thies Hue, and came to Black Hawk County as a young man and settled on a farm in Mt. Vernon Township.

He married Louise Heideman Dec. 9, 1897, in Mt. Vernon Township, later moving to Waterloo where he was engaged as a carpenter. In later years Mr. Hue had done floor sanding.

Mr. Hue was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Carpenters' local No. 1835, and the Sons of Union Veterans.

Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Jack Aston, 721 West Fifth Street, Mrs. Laura Trimble, 502 Courtlandt Street; one son, Victer, whereabouts unknown; four brothers: Fred and John, Los Angeles, Cal., Gustav, Pasco, Wash., and Louie, 430 Reed Street, and one sister, Mrs. S. M. Brown, St. Ansgar, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

The body is at Parrott & Wood Funeral Home where final arrangements are pending.
