Funeral services for Earl H. (Erme) Layman, 57, of Sherwood Park, who died at 3 p.m. Thursday at his home of carcinoma, will be at 9 a.m. Monday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic church.

He was born on Oct. 31, 1892, at Freeport, Ill., the son of Joseph and Alice Bendler Layman. He carne to Waterloo in 1911 and lived in this vicinity since that time.

He married Esther Zimmerman on March 31, 1913, at Madison, Wis. At the time of his death he was employed by the Manning Pattern Co. as a patternmaker.

He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, the Catholic Order of Foresters and the Knights of Columbus.

Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Dean Reed, Sherwood park; a brother, Harry, Freeport; a sister, Mrs. Freda Manahl of Evansdale, and two granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Rev. Fr. Louis Putz. pastor of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church will officiate at the requiem high mass at the church Monday morning. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

The body is at Ray Hurley Funeral Home.
