WATERLOO - Keith W. Wickham, 84, of Phoenix, formerly of Waterloo, died Friday, May 15, 2009, at Hospice of the Valley Sherman Home, Phoenix, of natural causes

He was born May 15, 1925, in Sumner, son of Harry and Erma Daehler Wickham. He married Gwendolyn I. Tibbits on March 13, 1947, at Little Brown Church, Nashua. She died March 23, 2007.

Mr. Wickham attended Waterloo East High School and was employed at John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for 33 years, retiring as a divisional superintendent. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and Waterloo Elks Lodge 290.

Survived by three sons, Dan (Julie) of Phoenix and Bruce (Katie) and Craig (Lynette), both of Waterloo; five grandchildren, Chelsi Wickham of Cedar Falls, Dr. Lanie (Colby) Huffman of Jacksonville, Fla., Lauren and Michael Wickham, both of Phoenix, and Nick Nenow of Waterloo; a great-grandson, Blake Scott Huffman of Jacksonville; a brother, Ole (Lois) of Fountain Hills, Ariz.; and a sister, Beverly Palmer of Dysart.

Preceded in death by two sisters, Donna Waddell and Joy M. Wickham.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Faith Lutheran Church, with burial in Waterloo Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 138 and Veterans of Foreign Wars 1623. Public visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Locke Funeral Home.

Memorials may be directed to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flowers St., Phoenix, AZ 85014 or Faith Lutheran Church, in lieu of flowers.
