CEDAR FALLS - Friederike Tarr, 69, of Highlands Ranch, Colo., formerly of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2005, in Colorado.

She was born Oct. 15, 1935, in Furth, Germany, daughter of Hans and Frieda Meixner. Friederike met John Tarr while he was a pilot in the U.S. Air Force stationed in Germany. They were married Sept. 17, 1960, in Cedar Falls.

Friederike entered licensed ministry with the United Church of Christ in 1995. She served as pastor of Colwell UCC in Iowa. In retirement, Friederike and John lived in Highlands Ranch, Colo.

Survivors include her husband, John; two sons, Steven Tarr of Cardiff, Wales, and James Tarr of Columbia, Mo.; a daughter, Carla Waller of Phoenix, Md.; five grandchildren, Jessica and John Ward Tarr of Arizona, Matthew Waller of Maryland and Kristen and Stephanie Tarr of Missouri; and a brother, Horst Meixner of Germany.

Preceded in death by her parents; and her twin sister, Ingeborg Bleisteiner.

Memorial services 11 a.m. Sept. 17 at the United Church of Christ, Cedar Falls, with burial at 3 p.m. in Fairview Cemetery, also in Cedar Falls.
