WATERLOO - Jonathan Gene Wagner, 55, of Olympia, Wash., formerly of Waterloo, died April 1, 2005.

He was born Dec. 14, 1949, in Waterloo, son of George Wallace and Violet Rosealene Heiden Wagner. He married Janet Louise VandeWiele on Oct. 24, 1969.

Mr. Wagner was a 1968 graduate of Waterloo East High School and had attended Seattle Pacific College, Seattle, Wash. In 1974 he earned an associates degree from the respiratory program at Highline Community College, Kent, Wash. He worked as a respiratory therapist for 24 years and spent 15 of those years at St. Peter Hospital managing respiratory, cardio-pulmonary rehab, EEG, sleep lab and fitness center. He was a center manager for Lincare and for the past five years was the business manager at Northwest Baptist Seminary, Tacoma, Wash.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Carol (David) Ewing of Olympia and Kristina (Brian) Beers of Lacey, Wash.; nine grandchildren; three brothers, George of Lacey, Michael (Coleen) of Cedar Falls, and his twin, Joseph (Judy) of Waterloo; and a sister, Georgia Myers of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by two sisters, Patricia Burkhart and Delores Popenhagen; and a grandson.

Services were April 9 in Tumwater, Wash.
