HUDSON - Leonard Lewis Wyatt, 85, of Hudson, died Sunday, March 5, 2006at Parkview Manor, Reinbeck.

He was born April 24, 1920, in Hudson, son of Ray and Hope Nicholson Wyatt. He married Ruby Abfalter in 1946, and they were later divorced. He married Marlys Mauck Hanisch in 1971.

A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Wyatt worked for John Deere, Rath Packing Co., Waterloo Community Schools and retired from Montgomery Ward.

Survived by his wife; two sons, Richard and Allan, both of Waterloo; two stepsons, Gary (Sheryl) Hanisch of Walsenburg, Colo., and Dennis (Christina) Hanisch of Stratford, Conn.; and six stepgrandchildren.

Preceded in death by four brothers, Raymond, Don, Cecil and Harold; and two sisters, Ruth Buck and Beverley Smelser.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Thursday at French-Hand Funeral Home, Reinbeck, with burial in the Reinbeck Cemetery. Military rites conducted by Reinbeck American Legion Action Post No. 242. Public visitation from 1 p.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to Hudson Community Church.
