WATERLOO - Margaret "Marge" Ahles Timion, 94, of Waterloo died Tuesday, March 7, 2006, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

Marge was born Dec. 16, 1911, in Gilbertville, the daughter of John and Dora Youngblut Ahles. She married Harry Timion on Feb. 4, 1937, in Gilbertville. He later died May 20, 1980. Marge was a seamstress for Powers Manufacturing for many years. After leaving Powers, she continued her sewing from her home. She was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church, now Queen of Peace, and also served as the president for the Rosary Society.

Left to cherish her memory include one daughter, Marjorie Timion Spiegel (Dennis) Maurer of Waterloo; granddaughters, Christine Spiegel of Chicago and Jennifer Spiegel (Daryl) Zurawski of St. Charles, Mo; great-grandchildren, Alexia Jo Spiegel, Jonathan Spiegel and Kayla Zurawski; stepgrandchildren, Debbie Maurer (Mike Bathke) of Oelwein, Julie (Mike) Boomgarden of Allison, Cathy (Gary) Wright of Raymond and David Maurer of Fairbank; stepgreat-grandchildren, Bobbi and Nikki Boomgarden of Allison and Brady Maurer of Fairbank; brothers, Francis (Red) Ahles of Jesup and Paul Ahles of Evansdale; one sister, Toni Johnson of Waterloo; and a former son-in-law, Larry Spiegel.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Timion; her parents, John and Dora Youngblut Ahles; twin sister, Josephine Pentzer Kayser; sister, Peggy Robbins; and brothers, Vince and John "Jack" Ahles.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church on Mulberry, with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary and 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation will also continue one hour prior to services Friday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice Home or Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
