Frank G. Strayer, a native of Black Hawk County, died Saturday morning at his home at Drlnkwater, Sask., Can., of a. stroke. He was about 56 years old.

Mr. Strayer had been ill with heart trouble for a year. He spent the winter in Florida and recently returned to Canada much improved. His death was unexpected.

He was born near Hudson, la., son of Mr. and Mrs. William Strayer. He married Miss Bird Gillin, of
Hudson, and to this union were born a daughter, Mrs. Carl Franck, of near Hudson, who survives, and a son, Dayle, who died in infancy shortly after the death of his mother.

Mr, Strayer went to Saskatchewan about 30 years ago and took up homestead land. There he married Miss Ethel Vernon, and to this union were born six children, Doras, Margerle, Margaret, Lucille and Donald, who survive and Vernon, who preceded in death. .

Mr. Strayer is survived also by his widow, two brothers, Samuel J. Strayer. Hudson, and Cal B. Strayer, Drinkwater, and two sisters, Mrs. W. F. Thompson, 1113 Leavltt Street, Waterloo, and Mrs. H. C. Gutknecht, Stuttgart, Ark.

Relatives here have not been informed as yet as to the time of the funeral.
