WATERLOO -- Thomas Bernard Connor, 80, formerly of Waterloo, died Feb. 18, 2014, at Mountain Vista Village Assisted Living, Wheat Ridge, Colo.

He was born Feb. 15, 1934, son of Robert Kelly and Lela Gertrude Kist Connor. He married Helen Darlene Knox on May 23, 1953.

Tom worked for Northwestern Bell, Waterloo, then transferred to Mountain Bell in Colorado. He retired from Mountain Bell/Qwest after 35 years of service. He then purchased an auto salvage business.

Survived by his wife; three daughters, Vicki L. Deitchel, Doris E. (Tim) Ford and Karen S. Burgwald; eight grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; a brother, Alan (Kay) of Waterloo; and a sister, Joyce (Al) Preissler of Dallas.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Julie J. Connor.

Services: 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Denver, Colo., with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery, Wheat Ridge. There will be no visitation. Newcomer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Lakewood, Colo., is in charge of arrangements.
