WATERLOO -- John C. Simons, 64, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Rochester, Minn.

He was born Jan. 14, 1950, in Waterloo, son of LaVern “Mike” and Catherine Cunningham Simons. He married Sally Corwin on Sept. 11, 1982, in Waterloo.

John was employed as a semi-truck driver until disability in 2011.

Survived by his wife; two sons, John (Terry) and Paul, both of Waterloo; four grandchildren; a brother, Gene (Virginia) Cunningham of Oelwein; and a sister, Beverly (Roy) Flippo of Waterloo.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. today and for an hour before services Wednesday at the funeral home.
