Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Chapel of Memories West for Mrs. Marie Catherine Rutledge, 75, of Beaman, a former resident of Waterloo, who died at St. Brands Hospital al 3:15 a.m. Sunday of complications of cancer.

Friends may call at the funeral home until service time.

She was born on Feb. 24, 1897 in Marshalltown, the daughter of Samuel and Margaret Dunn Kelly. She was married to Michael Seydel in January of 1919. He died and she later married Carl Rutledge on Oct. 2, 1941, in Princeton, Mo.

Mrs. Rutledge resided in Waterloo for many years.

Surviving are one son, Donald Seydel of Redondo Beach, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Harry Freeburn of Beaman; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two stepfathers, her first and second husbands and by one grandson.
