RHODES, SALZ, RECHTFERTIG, STRIEGEL, FOLEY, HEATH

Two sisters whose deaths occurred only 30 hours apart Friday and Saturday were mourned Monday by relatives in Waterloo.

Mrs. Margaret Rhodes died at 7 p. m. Saturday at her home in Red Oak, Ia., of a: lingering illness, just a day after her sister, Mrs. Paul Gindt, 78, died at her home at 533 Archer Avenue, Waterloo.

Word of the death of Mrs. Rhodes was received here by another sister, Mrs. P. J. Rechtfertig, 303 Iowa Street.

Margaret Salz was born April 25, 1858, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Salz, pioneer residents, of Waterloo. She spent her early life here and was married to J. C. Rhodes Jan. 8, 1883, at Waterloo. Her husband died 12 years ago.

Survivors in Waterloo are three sisters, Mrs. Rechtfertig, Mrs. Andrew Striegel, 315 Second Street East, and Mrs. John Foley, 312 Iowa Street, and a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Heath, 48 Mulberry Street.

There are also surviving children in Sioux City, Red Oak and Council Bluffs. Two children preceded her in death.
