Kathryn Lorraine Connell, 85, of Lakeview Landing died Monday June 9, 2008, at Lakeview Landing with her daughters at her side.

She was born September 23, 1922, in Ryan, daughter of Martin W. and Catherine Coleman OBrien. She married Glenn Caldwell on April 16, 1947. He preceded her in death. She married Joseph G. Connell in 1976. He died January 26, 2003.
Mrs. Connell was employed with Stamats Communications in Cedar Rapids for 20 years and later as the Pastoral Secretary at Frist United Methodist Church in Waterloo for seven years until her retirement. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters Of The Americas and the National Rural Letter Carriers Auxillary.

Survivors include her daughter Mary Anne Caldwell of Cedar Rapids, three stepdaughters: Judy (John) Woodfill of Olathe, Kansas, Mary Jo (Joe) Heinz of Germantown, Tennesse, and Barbara (Dennis) Iverson of Milford, Ohio; 11 step grandchildren and 12 step great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a son Martin and an infant brother.

Services will be 10:30 Thursady at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial at 2 p.m. in Calvary Cemtery Ryan. Public visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway where there will be a 4 p.m. Catholic Daughters Of The Americas rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also at the church for an hour before services on Thursday.

Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
