WATERLOO - Dorothy M. Hyde, 85, of Waterloo, died Thursday, June 12, 2008, at Country View Care Center.

She was born July 13, 1922, in Waterloo, daughter of George and Esther Partride Lemons. She married Earnest Hyde and he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Hyde was employed as a waitress in area restaurants.

Survived by a son, Joey of Waverly; two brothers, Donald Lemons of Waterloo and Hugh Lemons of Arizona; and a sister, Bonnie Jean Stacy of Oelwein.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Gray; a brother, Wallace Lemons; and three sisters, Eunice Burkholder, Viola Nolan and Loretta Lemons.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, Waterloo, with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, Cedar Falls. Public visitation for an hour before services Tuesday at the funeral home.
