Solomon, Rozanne Kathryn Bening

Rozanne of Mesa, AZ was born in Waterloo, Iowa, on April 27, 1928, to the late Erwin Bening and Margaret Arnett Bening. She died in Mesa on May 27, 2014. She was raised in WATERLOO, Iowa. She earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Iowas, and a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Denver,

In 1960 she married the love of her life, Lt. Col. Bruce L. Solomon (US Army Retired). Rozanne and Bruce moved to Mesa in 1967. She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church for 47 years, and a longtime member of PEO Chapter K in Mesa.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Bruce, and two brothers, Steve Bening of California, and Clark Bening of Iowa and Arizona .

She is survived by her daughter Barbara McDevitt (Paul) of Springfield, IL, and three sons. John Solomon (Alicia) of McKinney, TX, Richard Solomon of Chandler, AZ, and Bruce E. Solomon of Mesa, AZ, with whom she made her home, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 322 N. Horne St., Mesa, on June 14 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Scleroderma Foundation, 300 Rosewood Dr.. Suite 105, Danvers, MA 01923
