EVANSDALE -- Lillian Mae Hinders, 83, of Evansdale, died at home Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, of natural causes.

She was born Aug. 29, 1930, in rural Parkersburg, daughter of Sweer and Nellie Abbas Hovenga. On Oct. 11, 1947, she married Kenneth Hinders and they later divorced.

She worked for several years at Hinson's, John Deere and retired from Home Shopping Network.

Survived by a son, Randall Hinders; a daughter, Debra (Henry) Pugh; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Todd) Hirsch, Amy (Tim) Petersen, Heather (D' Andre) Moore, Michael Hinders and Amanda Hinders; five great-grandchildren, Katelyn Hackett, Sienna Moore, Xavier Moore, Sydney and Alex Hirsch; two brothers, Dale and Robert Hovenga; a sister, Ruthie Hinders; and two sisters-in-law, Judy Luhring and Alice Hovenga.

Preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Harold, Harm and Clarence Hovenga; four sisters, Joyce Kramer, Evelyn Kramer, Marlys Reams and Jean Seavey; and a son, Kendall Hinders.

Memorial services to be determined at a later date.

Lillian loved the Lord, her family, gardening, cooking, baking, and was an avid reader.
