WATERLOO - Gerald L. "Jerry" Amos, 73, of Waterloo, died at home Sunday, April 27, 2008 of cancer.

He was born Nov. 10, 1934, in Wilmer, Minn., son of Glen J. and Elizabeth Larson Amos. He married Pauline K. Vaughn on Nov. 11, 1955, in Nashua. She died Feb. 11, 1994.

Mr. Amos was a graduate of Wilmer High School and worked in maintenance at Iowa Laser, Cedar Falls, retiring in April 2007.

Survived by two sons, Rick L. (Rosemary) and Randy A. (Becky) both of Waterloo; a daughter Sherry (Eric Weber) Regenold of Evansdale; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Lindberg of Dearing, Kan.; and a sister-in-law, Eunice Amos of St. Peter, Minn.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne and Marlin; and a sister, Dorothy Harris.

Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, with inurnment in Fairview Cemetery. Public visitation from 5 until 8 p.m. today and an hour before services Wednesday at the funeral home.
