HUDSON - Cynthia Sue Bird, 62, of Hudson, died at home Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014.

She was born Oct. 12, 1951, in Virginia, Ill., daughter of Paul Kenneth and Mary Wallace Morgan Sr.

She was retired from nursing.

Survived by a daughter, Tempest (Michael Bullis) Thomas of Cedar Falls; three sons, Brian Thomas of Wyoming, Jason Bird of Minnesota and Luke (Amanda Weekly) Jones of Waterloo; four grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Bergstrom of Florida.

Preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Paul Morgan.

Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, Waterloo, preceded by an hour of visitation.

Cynthia was a loving, kind and forgiving person. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her children. Her happiest co-existence was the years spent with David Jones.
