CEDAR FALLS - Arthur “Art” Francis Homan, 92, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, at NewAldaya Lifescapes of natural causes.

He was born April 13, 1921, in Ackley, son of Joseph and Della Brouwer Homan. He married Helen Edwards and they later divorced.

Mr. Homan graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1940, and then served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Central Burma. He graduated from Gates College, Waterloo, in 1949. He worked for many years for General Dynamics, San Diego. He was a member of the St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Mount Vernon Township.

Survived by two daughters, Susan Brase of Cedar Falls and Judith Koos of Dana Point, Calif.; a son, Roger (Jean) of Waterloo; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents.
