WATERLOO - Evelyn Pavelec Davis, 78, of Waterloo, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Rochester, Minn., of natural causes.

She was born Nov. 17, 1935, in Tripoli, daughter of Edward J. and Louisa A. Frahm Pavelec Sr. She married Dean A. Davis on Feb. 16, 1971, in Vermillion, S.D.; he died Dec. 17, 2003.

Survived by a daughter, DeAnn (Brent) Frederick of New Ulm, Minn.; three grandchildren, Paige, Ty and Cole Ferderick of New Ulm; two sisters, Irene Buhr and LaVera Bergen, both of Waterloo; two brothers-in-law, Robert Maxfield of Waverly and Kenneth Heinemann of Readlyn; and a sister-in-law, Verdeen Pavelec of Readlyn.

Preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Edward and Reinhold “Bunny” Pavelec; and four sisters, Louise Spier, Rose Kuhrt, Pearl Heinemann and Phyllis Maxfield.

Services: 9:30 a.m. Friday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Kearns Funeral Service Kimball Chapel and an hour before services Friday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church or Cedar Valley Hospice.
