WATERLOO - Betty Mae Fulton, 76, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at Covenant Medical Center following a sudden illness.

She was born at home May 17, 1932, in Waterloo, daughter of Emil George and Dorothy Charlotte Stannard Wolf. She married David John Fulton on Nov. 30, 1930, in Missouri. He died Feb. 7, 2000,.

Mrs. Fulton worked various jobs across the United States. After settling in Waterloo she worked at Waterloo Industries as a spot welder, retiring after 10 years. She was a member of Hagerman Baptist Church.

Survived by a son, David J. (Cynthia) of Wimberley, Texas; a brother, Dale (Helen) Wolf of Waterloo; six sisters, Jean Shepard, Marion Matthias and Barbara Wolf, all of Waterloo, Helen Schilling of Manteca, Calif., Ruth Mishler of Waverly and Bonnie (Larry) Penning of Bullhead City, Ariz.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hagerman Baptist Church, with burial in Waterloo Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, and for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.

Betty was a kind, joyful and loving woman, who loved to garden, play games, attend Bible study, shop, and especially share the peaches, apples and pears from her trees. She was giving in life and her loving generosity lives on in others by her donation of tissue and bone to those in need. Betty also loved to travel. After the death of her husband, she enjoyed area bus tours and traveling with her family.
