Funeral services for Jay Letson, 94, former resident here will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday a the Nollger - School Funeral Home. Mr. Letson died at the Iowa Soldiers Home in Marshalltown at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday of complications incident to advanced age.

He was born July 31, 1872, near Emmettsburg. On Dec. 24, 1902, he married Tessie Taylor. They lived near Cylinder until 1923 when they moved to Cedar Falls. She preceded him in death.

Mr. Letson was a member of First Evangelical United Brethren Church and the Spanish American War Veterans.

Surviving are four sons: H. M. Letson, 2116 College St.; Percy of Belie Plaine; Clarence, Rt. 3, and Merritt, 2728 Highview Ave., Waterloo; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.

The Rev. Don Lies, pastor of First EUB Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Waterloo. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Wednesday.
