Mrs. Evelyn M. Guyer, 79. of 421 Home Park Boulevard, died at 2 p. m. Tuesday at her home of complications incident to advanced age. She had been a resident of Waterloo for the last five months, moving here from Dunkerton. Ia.

She was born Evelyn Van Etten, daughter of Christopher and Mary E. Van Etten. Dec. 28. 1868, at Dunkerton, and was married to Thomas S. Guyer, Feb. 9. 1890, at Dunkerton. They farmed near there until Mr. Guyer's death about a year and a half ago.

Survivors include eight sons: Burt E. 211 South Street; Charles C.. Atkins. Ia.; P. W.. 1303 West Second Street. Cedar Falls: Max N., 148 Williston Avenue; Samuel T. and Glen G. both of Portland, Ore.; Ross, 1010 College Street, Cedar Falls, and Dean R. 118 Newton Street; two daughters, Mrs. Charles Clute, 213 Moir Street, and Mrs. Elizabeth Carroll, also of Portland, and 11 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The body is at Locke Funeral Home.
