WATERLOO - Arlene Mae Jenks, 98, formerly of Waterloo, died Jan. 9, 2014, at Chandler Healthcare, Chandler, Ariz.

She was born Sept. 9, 1915, in Waseca, Minn., daughter of Harold and Amanda Geisecker McChane. She married Robert Edwin Jenks in 1939; he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Jenks worked as a telephone operator for Northwestern Bell until the dial was implemented.

Survived by a daughter, June Tesdall of Phoenix; a grandson, Robert Tesdall of Phoenix; a sister-in-law, Linda McChane of Denver; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents; a sister, June Lentsch; and two brothers, Robert and Lloyd McChane.

Services: 10 a.m. Friday at Katherine G. Pahl Chapel at Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery, preceded by an hour of visitation. Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, is in charge of arrangements.
