Pauline G. McDermott, 78, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, April 25, 2000 at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, from injuries received in an automobile accident.

She was born Oct. 3, 1921, in Fort Dodge, daughter of Paul and Emma Stromberg Halfpap. She married Eugene P. "Mac" McDermott on Jan. 30, 1943, in Harrisburg, Pa. He died June 6, 1998.

Survived by three sons, Steve of Waterloo, William of Cedar Falls, and John of Conroe, Texas; three grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and six stepgreat-grandchildren.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Cedar Falls. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Richardson Funeral Home, where there will be a 7 p.m. vigil service.
