HUDSON - Alma M. Wilson, 93, of Hudson, died Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, at ManorCare Health Services, Waterloo, of natural causes.

She was born March 24, 1920, in rural Hudson, daughter of Nels and Sophie Petersen Jensen. She married Alfred "Bud" Wilson on Feb. 5, 1940; he died Jan. 31, 1999.

Over the years she helped farm with her husband in Hudson until retirement. She was member of Community Church of Hudson.

Survived by a daughter, JoAnn (Dr. Harlen) Hunter of Bedford, Ind.: two sons, Jerry (Della) of Hudson and Jim (Deborah) of O'Fallon, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Jeff (Michelle) Wilson of Hudson, Michelle (Rich) Crouch of Euless, Texas, Todd (Christine) Hunter of Indian Harbour Beach, Fla., Troy Wilson of Hudson, Dr. Michael (Dr. Jane) Wilson of Greenwood, Ind., Juliann (Tim) Holle of Orlando, Fla., and Dr. Chris (Lisa) Wilson of St. Louis, Mo.; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.

Preceded in death by a great-grandson, Blake Wilson; six brothers; and two sisters.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Community Church of Hudson, with burial in Hudson Cemetery. Visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Locke Funeral Home, Waterloo.

Memorials in lieu of flowers may be directed to the Hudson Volunteer Fire Department or Community Church of Hudson.

Alma enjoyed baking and always had cookies for family and friends. As a senior citizen she was a frequent winner in Hudson Days Pie Contest.
