RAYMOND - Edith Margaret Youngblut, 79, of Raymond, died Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, at NewAldaya Lifescapes, Cedar Falls.

She was born July 18, 1934, in Gilbertville, daughter of Joseph and Anna Federspiel Hemmer. She married Lester Youngblut on Nov. 17, 1953, in Gilbertville; he died Dec. 7, 2008.

Mrs. Youngblut managed the American Legion, Gilbertville, and the Dewar Tap, Dewar, and was also employed at the Family Inn, Raymond.

Survived by three daughters, Marjorie (Kenneth) Kresser of Waterloo, Cinthia (Michael) Cook of Jesup and Tamera (Jon) Bronemann of Cedar Falls; eight grandchildren, Jeremy (Sarah) Kresser, Jenny Kresser, Nicole (Chad) Foelske, Jeff Cook, Whitney Cook, Samantha Frost, Ryan Frost and Michael Bronemann; five great-grandchildren, Dalanie Kresser, Kylie Kresser, Landen Foelske, Brantley Foelske and Hadley Foelske; a sister, Teresa Conrad of Raymond; and a sister-in-law, Frances Hemmer of Wisconsin.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Gilbert and Cletus Hemmer; two sisters, Evelyn Hoffman and Marie Kane; and a son-in-law, Irvin Frost.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Raymond, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, Waterloo, with a 4 p.m. rosary and 7 p.m. vigil. There will be no visitation at the church on Thursday.

Memorials may be directed to the Bosco System or American Heart Association.
