WATERLOO - Maye Katherine Perry, 97, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, May 3, 2005, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab of congestive heart failure.

She was born July 4, 1907, in Webster, S.D., daughter of Clyde E. and Cora E. Kerstetter Foss. She was married to Howard Harrison Perry June 14, 1931, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua by the Rev. Malcomb Perry. Mr. Perry died Dec. 30, 2004.

Mrs. Perry graduated from La Porte City High School in 1925 and later from Gates Business College.

Survivors include a daughter, Ellen Joy Gosse of Waterloo; two granddaughters, Sharon Helmer of Marshalltown and Debra Gosse of Waterloo; two great-grandsons, Thomas and David Helmer, both of Marshalltown; three great-granddaughters, Laura Helmer, Katherine (Cory) Hays and Rebecca Helmer, all of Marshalltown; and a great-great-granddaughter, Kristin Hays of Marshalltown. She will be greatly missed.

Preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Merlin and Clarence Foss; and a sister, Esther Foss in infancy.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Memorial Park Chapel, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, and for an hour before services Friday at Memorial Park Chapel.

Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be directed to Adults Inc. or the Maywood Wesleyan Church.
