Atlas L. Lowe, 80, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2005, at Oakwood Care Center, Clear Lake, of natural causes.

He was born May 27, 1920, in Waverly, son of Perry L. and Capitola Long Lowe. He married Margaret H. Ferguson on April 20, 1941, in Nashua. Mr. Lowe had worked for Chamberlain Manufacturing Co., [Waterloo] as a tool and die maker from 1941 to 1982, when he retired.

Survived by his wife; a son, William A. of Waverly; two daughters, Peggy McCollum of Clarksville and Liz Chapman of Ames; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by an infant sister; and an infant granddaughter.

Services: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Heights Presbyterian Church, Cedar Falls, with burial in Harlington Cemetery, Waverly. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Richardson Funeral Home, with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Visitation also for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.

A memorial fund has been established.
