Ethel M. Aschenbrenner, 87, of 1515 Liberty Ave., died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2000, at Allen Hospital of natural causes.

She was born Oct. 21, 1913, in Hudson, daughter of Raleigh and Agnes Faulkner Watters. She married Donald Aschenbrenner on Feb. 21, 1936, in Waterloo. He died Feb. 25, 1972.

Mrs. Aschenbrenner had worked at Hinson Manufacturing and Sieberts Laundry.

Survived by a son, Richard of Waterloo; a daughter, Donna Harriman of Waterloo; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Oliphant of Waterloo; and four brothers, Elvin Watters of Hudson and Dale, Gordon and Darrel "Pete" Watters, all of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by a brother, Wilbur James Watters; and a great-grandson.

Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, Cedar Falls,, with inurnment at a later date in Garden of Memories. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Garden View Chapel and for an hour before services Saturday at the church.
