Thelma M. Epperly, 95, of Waterloo, died Monday, June 12, 2000 at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center of natural causes.

She was born Dec. 29, 1904, in Hannibal, Mo., daughter of Cassius and Electa Loutzenhiser Heskett. She married Louis Halligan in 1923 in Davenport. They later divorced. She married Ralph E. Epperly on May 17, 1941, in Cedar Rapids. He died in 1991.

Mrs. Epperly worked at Imperial Dry Cleaners and in the cafeteria at Chamberlain Manufacturing Co.

Survived by a son, Richard Halligan of Waterloo; a daughter, Margie Harden of Waterloo; and a granddaughter.

Preceded in death by four brothers, Louis, Raymond, Fred and Cloyd Heskett; and three sisters, Gladys and Mayme Heskett and Leona McCullough.

Services: 10 a.m. Thursday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today and for an hour before services Thursday at the chapel.
