Laurale Schumacher, 75, of Evansdale, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2000, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo, from complications following a stroke.

She was born March 13, 1925, in Keokuk County, Lafayette Township, daughter of Roy and Blanche Bonnater VanFleet. She married Charles Schumacher on Sept. 4, 1954, in Waterloo.

Mrs. Schumacher worked in the office at John Deere for a short time and later worked at Sun Ray DX.

Survived by her husband; and two sons, Stephen P. of Budapest, Hungary, and William R. of Carlisle.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Western Avenue Gospel Hall, with burial in Garden of Memories, both in Waterloo. Friends may call from 3:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at Locke Funeral Home, Waterloo.
