WATERLOO - Lyle Eugene Parker, 69, of Waterloo, died Friday, Jan. 5, 2001 at Covenant Medical Center of pneumonia.

He was born Jan. 27, 1931, in Waterloo, the son of Raymond and Elsie Kramer Parker. He married Verna Smith in October 1952, in Dunkerton.

Mr. Parker worked for Roof Construction and also for the Waterloo Street Department until retirement.

Survived by his wife; three sons, Rick, Ronnie and Randy, all of Waterloo; two daughters, Jane Johnson and Peggy Coen, both of Waterloo; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Lymon of Waterloo, LeRoy of Farragot, Tenn., and Leon of Mechanicsville; and four sisters, Leota Parker of Aledo, Ill., Linda Strunk of Rock Island, Ill., Lois Langcaster of Ottumwa and LaDonna Treat.

Preceded in death by a granddaughter; and three brothers, LaVern, Larry and Leonard.

Services: 3 p.m. Tuesday at Parrott & Wood Family Funeral Care, with burial in Garden of Memories. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday and for an hour before services Tuesday at the funeral home.
