Ron Malven, 42, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died of heart failure Sunday afternoon at Fort Lauderdale.
Born at Waterloo, he attended school at Cedar Rapids, where he graduated from Washington High School and Kirkwood Community College. Mr. Malven formerly worked for Rockwell-Collins and WMT radio. At the time of his death he was a senior systems engineer for Allied Signal Arrow Space Co., Fort Lauderdale.
Survivors include his father, Richard, and a brother, Richard Jr., both of Waterloo; and his mother, Charlotte Watham of Davenport.
Services 10 a.m. Thursday, Truedel Salon Funeral Home, St. Jeromes, Quebec. Burial at St. Jeromes, Quebec.
