On Jan. 21, 2002, Sarah Marie Weaver Beebe, after a brief illness, left our presence to be with our Lord. For many years, she has been a resident of Phoenix, Ariz.

She was born in Waterloo, Iowa, on Aug. 9, 1935. She also resided in Quasqueton and Cedar Rapids. In 1953, she graduated from Quasqueton High School, where she was valedictorian of her class and played on the basketball team.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jack, and their children, Jeff Beebe (Debbie) and Susan Bagley, both of Phoenix. Also surviving are four sisters, Maudie Peterson (Dick) of Royalton, Ill., Eunice Mathews (Bob) of Cedar Rapids, Linda Ballard of Phoenix, Ariz., Donna Young (Carl) of Cedar Rapids; and two brothers, Arlie Mitchell Weaver (Jalaa) of Alburnett and Timothy John Weaver (Dee) of Cedar Rapids.

Sarah worked at Cherry Burrell in Cedar Rapids for many years. She was a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
