CEDAR FALLS - Pearle F. Billings, 95, of the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home, died there Thursday, Jan. 4, 2001 of natural causes.

She was born Sept. 23, 1905, in Peru, Iowa, daughter of John and Emma Gonseth Jones. She married Platt Billings May 19, 1927, in Rock Island, Ill.; he died March 8, 1993.

Mrs. Billings attended Iowa State Teachers College, now the University of Northern Iowa, taught in Nora Springs and was bookkeeper at Woolverton Printing Co. for more than 40 years.

Survived by a son, John R. of Helena, Mont.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a son, Carl E.; four brothers, Edwin, William, Lloyd and Arthur Jones; and two sisters, Elsie Cochrane and Goldie Kuster.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Monday at Cedar Falls Lutheran Home Chapel, with burial in Hillside Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Friends may call for an hour before services Monday at the chapel. Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
