WATERLOO - Donald G. Schneberger, 74, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2001, at his home of natural causes.

He was born Sept. 4, 1926, in Calmar, son of Alphonse and Sophia Schneberger. He married Louise Wacker on March 4, 1952, in Waukon.

Mr. Schneberger was employed by Rath Packing Co. for 37 years and more recently with Indian Creek Realty. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Survived by his wife; two sons, Jeffery of Naperville, Ill., and Donald Jr. of Durham, Calif.; a daughter, Nancy Reed of Chico, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and a stepbrother, Edward Andersen of Pocola, Okla.

Services: 10 a.m. Friday at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Washburn, with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo. Military rites will be conducted by Becker-Chapman American Legion Post 138 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1623. Friends may call form 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, and for an hour before services Friday at the church.
