TRAER - Russell Max Brackett, 75, of Traer, died Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2005, at his home of complications from leukemia.

He was born Nov. 16, 1929, in Raymondville, Mo., son of Russell and Snoda Lea McKinney Brackett. He married Ann Lea Flowers on Jan. 14, 1950, in Houston, Mo.

Mr. Brackett was employed at Rath Packing Co. [Waterloo, Iowa] until it closed. He then worked for Heetland Electric for eight years, retiring in 1992.

Survived by his wife; three daughters, Ann Elizabeth Wilson of Fernandina Beach, Fla., Barbara (Dennis) Dolash of Tama and Ruth (Scott Cripe) Brackett of Fairbank; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

There will be no services, his body has been cremated. Burial will take place Sept. 3 at Ozark Baptist Cemetery, Houston, Mo. Overton Funeral Home, Traer, is in charge of arrangements.
