WAVERLY - Rosalma Mardorf, 89, of Waverly, died Monday, Aug. 8, 2005, at the Waverly Health Center.

She was born Feb. 13, 1916, in Waterloo, daughter of Paul J. and Emma C. Schoenberg Neubauer. She married the Rev. Alfred Mardorf Aug. 15, 1939, at Zion Lutheran Church, Oelwein. He died May 21, 1987.

She graduated from Oelwein High School in 1933 and attended Texas Lutheran College for two years, later transferring to Wartburg College where she graduated with a mathematics degree in 1937. She taught school for two years in Maynard and later supported her husband in his ministry, retiring in 1978.

Survived by two sons, Paul (Anne) of Waverly and Dr. Allen of Rochester, N.Y.; a daughter, Carol (Dennis) Harms of Corvallis, Ore.; five granddaughters; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Norma (Richard) Ungrodt of Mequon, Wis.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Redeemer Lutheran Church, with burial in Harlington Cemetery, both in Waverly. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly.

Memorials may be directed to Redeemer Lutheran Church, Wartburg College or Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community.
