Mrs. Lyle Van Dorn, 59, 820 Sleeley St., died at 11:30 p.m. Friday at St. Francis Hospital.

Dorothy Hannah Holland was born on Nov. 16, 1908 at New Rockford, N. D., the daughter of John and Jennie Cassidy Holland.

She was married to Lyle VanDorn on Jan 28, 1829 at Waverly.

Mrs. Van Dorn came to Waterloo in 1938. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and the Rosary Society.

Surviving are her husband, six sons: John of Nashua; Richard of 1231 Black Hawk Rd.;
Gerald, 209 French St.; Edward, 839 Steeley St.; Joseph Patrick, a student at Iowa State University at Ames; and Timothy, at home; three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Prost, 858 Victory Dr., Cedar Falls; Mrs. Thomas Hausladen, Gary, Ind.; Mrs. Ronald Francis, 1122½ W. 2nd St.; 16 grandchildren; two step brothers, Irvin Harden, Waverly and Harold Harden, 1112 Cleveland St.; three step sisters, Mrs. Alice Kilday, Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. Hazel Schwartz, Manley; and Mrs. Lola Swift, Kansas City, Mo.

She was preceded In death by her parents and two step brothers.

Funeral services will be a 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Catholic church with Rev. Louis Flynn, a cousin, who is a pastor at Nashua, officiating. Rosary services will be at p.m. tonight at the Oppold Funeral Home and 7:30 p.m. to morrow by the parish and Rosary Society. Friends may cal at the Oppold Funeral Home after 2 p.m. today.
