Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the South Waterloo Church of the Brethren for Mrs. Margaret K. Fike, 71, of Rt. 1 who died at 3:10 p.m. yesterday at Allen Memorial Hospital of a heart condition.

Friends may call at Kearns-Dykeman Chapel after 7 p.m. tomorrow. Those who wish may contribute to a memorial fund to he established in her name at the church.

She was born in Kensett, Iowa, Feb. 27, 1896, the daughter of Rev. John and Kate Hodges
Dawson. She graduated from the Shell Rock High School, received her B. A. Degree from Cornell College in 1917 and her Master's in Math at the University of Illinois in 1918 where she was Phi Beta Kappa.

She was married to Homer S. Fike Nov. 27, 1924, in Lamont, and resided in the Orange Township area since that time. She taught at the Orange Township School for many years. Prior to that time she taught at Lake Mills and Palestine, Illinois.

She was a member of the South Waterloo Church of the Brethren, taught Sunday school in the church for many years, was a deacon in the church, and was past chairman of the woman's fellowship. She was a past county chairman of the Woman's Farm Bureau and a member of the Waterloo Woman's Club.

She is survived by her husband, one son Lawrence Neil Fike of Rt. 1, one daughter, Mrs. Doyle Gordon of Spirit Lake, one brother Paul Dawson of Parkersburg, two sisters, Miss Elizabeth Dawson of St. Charles, Mo., and Mrs. Beulah Schoeneman of Parkersburg. Also surviving are seven grandchildren.
