CEDAR FALLS — Wilbert Barnett Long, 82, of the Western Home, died yesterday at 5:57 a.m. there of complications incident to advanced age. Funeral services are pending the arrival of family members.

Born May 11, 1892, at Selma, Calif., Mr. Long was the son of Robert and Mary Ann Long.

A retired farmer, Mr. Long moved to the Western Home in June of 1967. Married on Dec. 6, 1916, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Gladys, and married Jenny Nielson Hansen who also preceded him in death in 1970. Others preceding him in death included his father, mother and one brother.

He is survived by two sons, LeRoy M. Long of Indianola and J. Darrell Long of Prarie Village, Kan.; one step daughter, Mrs. Hugh F. (Helen) Patterson, 403 Home Park Blvd., Waterloo; one stepson, Soren N. Hansen, Ft. Collins,
Colo.; one sister, Mrs. Viva Hawthorne, Sunnyvale, Calif.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mr. Long was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Cedar Falls and the In dependent Order of Odd Fellows.

Services will be conducted at the Western Home Chapel by the Rev. William H. Green chaplain of the home, officiating. Interment will be in Clearfield Cemetery, Clearfield. Friends may call at the Nottger Funeral Home from & a.m. to 9 p.m. tomorrow and until 10:15 a.m. at the Western Home Chapel.

The family requests that memorials be given to the Western Home.
