CEDAR PALLS - funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow at St. Timothy's United Methodist Church in Cedar Falls for Thomas L Crews, 58, of 2424 Garden Ave.

Mr. Crews was the father of Mayor Jon Crews of Cedar Falls. The Rev. Donald L. Carver, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the Midwest Garden of Memories, Waterloo. The family requests memorials to the American Cancer Society.

Thomas L. Crews died at Methodist Hospital, Rochester, Minn, at 5:40 p.m. Friday of cancer. He had formerly operated the Crews Deep Rock service station in Cedar Fails for 10 years. Until he became ill, his most recent occupation had been as a painter at the Cedar Falls Holiday Inn.

Friends may call at the Dahl Van Hove Schoof Funeral Home from. 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. today; from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. tomorrow; and at the church from 12:30 p.m. until service time.

He was born Jan. 13, 1915 in Lawrenceburg, Tenn, the son of Thomas A. and Mary Porter Crews. On Dec. 10, 1945, he married Burdene Livingstone of San Antonio, Texas.

Surviving are his mother Mrs. Mary Porter Crews of Lawrenceburg, Tenn.; his wife, Burdene; three sons, Jon Crews of 1417 Main St.; Carlton Crews of 816 Main St., Charles Crews of 805 Tremont St., one daughter, Mrs. Michael Colburn of 912 Melrose Drive, all of Cedar Falls; one brother, Teddy Crews of Lawrenceburg, Tenn.; four sisters, Mrs. Maggie Busby and Mrs. Florence Tommerlon, both of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., and Mrs. Carlton Parks of Columbia, Tenn., and Miss Eunice Crews of St. Petersburg, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his father.
