Friends of Mrs. Clarence Davis 49, of 919 W. Mullan Ave., may call after 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Chapel of Memories West, where funeral services for her are being planned for 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Mrs. Davis, who died at hom at 3:30 p.m. Monday of complications following a stroke, was the former Virginia Mae Ehlers.

She was born in Tama County on June 1, 1921, to Clarence and Lillian Nissen Ehlers and came to Waterloo in 1941. Her marriage to Clarence Davis occurred Dec. 5, 1945, at El Paso, Tex. Mrs. Davis was a member of Central Christian Church.

Preceded in death by her father, Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband; four daughters: Ellen, Beth Ann, Janice and Jean, all at home; her mother, now of 318 Highland Drive, Cedar Falls; two sisters: Mmes. Norma Sass of Gladbrook and Beverly Becker of Jesup; and four brothers: Paul Ehlers of 318 Highland Drive, Cedar Falls, Clarence Ehlers Jr. of 2311 Primrose Drive, Cedar Falls, William Ehlers of La Porte City and Donald Ehlers of Clearwater, Fla.
