STEVENS, MUNN, WUNN, ERICKSON

Funeral services for Fred A. Stevens, 88, of 1817 W. 3rd St., will be tomorrow at 1 p.m. at Locke Funeral Home, Dr. Harvey A. Nelson, pastor of First United Methodist Church, Cedar Falls, officiating. Burial will be at Grundy Center Cemetery, Grundy Center. Mr. Stevens died at Friendship Village yesterday afternoon of complications ol age.

He was born Oct. 28, 1881 at Grundy Center, the son of Albert F. and Julia Munn* Stevens. He was married Jan. 1, 1903 at Grundy Center to Nellie G. Erickson. A retired postal employee from Cedar Falls, he also was a member of First United Methodist Church there, Knights of Pythias, Doke, Sons of the Union Veterans, and Retired Federal Employees.

He homesteaded in North Dakota from 1906-1909 near Litchville and lived in Cedar Falls from 1909-1965 when he moved to Waterloo.

Survivors include a son, T. E. [Thielen] Stevens, a department manager of the Waterloo Daily Courier of 224 Berkshire, a brother, George A. Stevens of 240 Cataract Ave., Waterloo. Three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded by his parents, wife, six brothers, and two sisters.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at Locke Funeral Home.
